Great Scott! Just like Back to School, Broadway is on its way into a new season, and we have curated a great weekend of not-to-be-missed shows. Pack your shoes, jump in your DeLorean, and get ready for a spicy weekend in the big city.
The weekend will begin Friday evening with Doc and Marty in Back to the Future, The Musical, winner of the 2022 WhatsOnStage award and Olivier Award for Best Musical.
Saturday afternoon, you will go to The Cottage. Broadway’s brand-new, side-splitting farce is an outrageous tale of sex, betrayal, and desire directed by Jason Alexander and starting Eric McCormack, Laura Bell Bundy, and Lilli Cooper. Following dinner, get ready for an immersive musical experience unlike anything Broadway has seen. From the minds of David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, Here Lies Love is a groundbreaking musical about former Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos’s astonishing rise to power and subsequent fall at the hands of the Philippine People Power Revolution. You will be able to be on the dance floor for this fully immersive experience or be seated to oversee the action.
On Sunday, things are going to get a bit "corny" when we head to see Shucked , the hilarious new musical about the battle for the heart and soil of a small town. Winner of the 2023 Outer Critics Circle award for Best Book of a Musical, Shucked will have you laughing so hard your stomach will hurt!
